Many who are concerned with weight management tend to want to count calories and or spend much of their time focusing on calories.
An easier way to stay on top of your weight management approach is to target certain types of calories so to eliminate or reduce the ones that work against your goals and eat only the ones which enhance your goals.
As you notice improvement in the way your clothes fit and feel and the waist to height measurement reaching the ideal measurement, (waist measurement x's 2 = height, ex. 40 inch waist = 80 inches in height) you will have a good idea at that point if you are eating the right calories, or too little calories or too many calories.
Calories are fuel or energy for your body to meet its demands.
Eat when you are physically hungry, stop when you are satisfied, not full, and walk away from eating if you are not hungry but want to eat (that is an emotional issue to address).
